run throughout the community and many of the homes in
Wexford Plantation have private docks, which gives residents
access to Broad Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Wexford's harbour is one of only four lock systems on
the U.S. Atlantic Coast.
Residents of this premiere community on Hilton Head
Island can also enjoy the 18-hole golf course, designed
by Willard Byrd. This championship course is interwoven

British Colonial-style clubhouse is the center for many
social gatherings including Christmas boat parades,
tennis socials, super bowl parties, costumed Halloween
parties, and the blessing of the fleet at the end of
May. The Wexford Plantation clubhouse itself is decorated
with pink Georgian marble in the entrance foyer, Tiffany
glass skylights, and additional fine quality furnishings,
making it the perfect place to entertain. Overlooking
the marina, the Wexford clubhouse features four custom-built
fire places, a cocktail lounge, a restaurant, a grand
ballroom, a full-service golf shop staffed by PGA professionals
and luxurious men's and women's locker rooms with card
rooms and saunas. There is also a spacious veranda and
lawn located in the adjacent pavilion which is great
for outdoor dining. An outside bar and grill, a large
pool, a small children's pool, a large cabana with showers
and restrooms are also located nearby. Other activities
and amenties within the Wexford community include swimming,
bridge, book clubs, walking and biking trails, croquet,
a children's playground, and bocce ball.
As a private community on Hilton Head Island, club membership
is limited to property owners and all club amenities
are maintained strictly for the benefit of property
owners and their guests. All members have free access
to the golf course, tennis courts, Harbour, clubhouse
and pool. There are no club initiation fees, and membership
is limited to a maximum of 475 members.
