Easter Eggstravaganza on Hilton Head Island

Easter is just around the corner, which means that it’s once again time for Easter egg hunts, egg decorating, chocolate bunnies, and more.  On Hilton Head Island, there will be an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 10:30 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon.  It will take place at Shelter Cove Community Park and is hosted by the Island Recreation Association.  The event is targeted at children from ages 2 to 12, but all are welcome to come and participate.  Admission to the event is $10, including activities, and parents and grandparents are free of charge.  Food, however, is sold separately, so be sure to bring extra money if you plan to eat at the event.

The Easter egg hunt itself will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m., and will be divided according to age groups to give everyone a fair chance at finding their own hidden treasures.  The intent of this festival is to provide a completely safe environment for children to begin celebrating Easter alongside their parents.  In addition to the Easter egg hunt itself, there will be activities including a bounce house, blowup rides, music, face painting, and more.

All money earned at this event will be used to benefit the Hilton Head Island Recreation Association Children’s Scholarship Fund. If you would like further information about the event, call (843) 681-7273.
